evaluation

So ive fineshedmy magzine all that is left to do is the seven point evaluation on power point and then a questionaire about feedback from the music magazine.

Im going to be asking questions like :

Does the magazine look professionally made?


Do the colours work together well?


Are the photographs used look of high quality ?

double page spread

So here are the final designs for my double page spread , I really like the way its really simple and only uses two photos. I like the way the black on the hwite looks and makes it really stands out .

Also using quotes on the photos i feel makes the reader want to read the actual article and that it definatly attracts them to it

So heres my final design for the front cover of my music magazine. It slightly different to the earlier designs as i added a red block behind the text at the top and bottom and have also added more bands on the front cover so it will attract the target audience to buy it. Overall im really happy with the way it came out and i think the use of layout worked really well.

So heres my final design for the contents page of my music magazine "vinyl" im really happy with the way it came out. I think the use of colour is really effective and helps its stand out.

main colours black and white are really effective.

DEVELOPMENT

So since my last post I've nearly completed my music magazine front cover

All thats left to do is the title for it and the bottom strip of bands to attract buyers to the magazine. I really like how the right hand side has all the cover lines where as they are all different sizes but all fit into the same size.

Further Development

So since my last post i have decided not to continue with the magazine cover I have previously designed as i belive it not to be in the theme i want it to be. Instead I've decided to go with a black and white theme and using the first font idea I had as i think it fits the theme and genre of the magazine.

As I've only added the barcode and bottom strip, I really like how its looking so far and is definatly fitting the genre of the magazine which is underground/ alternative rock.

DEVELOPMENT

So I've started my first draft for my music magazine Im not 100% sure about it I've only done the title and the image below it.
As for the title ive designed it in almost a 3d theme and has a definate vintage/ retro feel to it which is what i was aiming for.





As you can see for the title font i used the Third front idea , I really like the bold and how it stands out and then looks as if it actually is vintage.

Font For The Title/ Heading

So this was my first idea for the font I will be using for the title for the music magazine, i really like a the shape of it and it gives out a kind of vintage feel.



This is my second idea for the font i will be using for the headline logo for my music magazine, it deffinatly has a vintage kind of
rocky disco feel to it.



This was my third idea for the font for my music magazine, i belive it has a nice vintage feel to in and would fit in the magazine style.



This was my fourth idea for the font for the headline of my music magazine, I like its shape and how it look fairly retro.

Today i am writing the proposal for my music magazine, I aim to finish by the end of the lesson.
I also discuss the fonts used and all the details the magazine will be about. I've named the magazine vinyl, since it is short and sweet and also you are able to remember it. Also that vinyls and 7 inch records have made a comeback in the recent years.
